Gone through Lynda tutorials for basic operation – somewhat frustrating if you don't do that whole demo file the – somewhat unclear on animating stills. Decided to edit some sound and video from Santa Fe taken some time ago. As a rough edit of the soundtrack which have cut down to 60 seconds. Lynda stressed the importance of making the "radio cut" before adding images. Imported images Create slideshow – planning
Soundtrack? Voice-over?? – Through experience I have found it easier to create the soundtrack first and then edit to the video program. Maybe use Garage Band to make the soundtrack first. Trial for individual project assessment #2?? Look at adding images – particularly subtle transitions (or not so) – check out Adobe Premiere for ability to use the Ken Burns effect. Ideas Similar set of images to above?? Process
Grabbed some random clips and imported into iMovie. Clipped to approximately 6 second chunks to give me 10. Added a range of transitions. Not something I would use in this way!
Furthermore, I do not think I may be will give me the range of possibilities I need so may have to do invest in Adobe premiere. http://katemurphy.com.au/new/selectedwork.php CRY ME A FUTURE (DUBLIN) Search/desire for answers - ref family gathering - psychics reading of Gran (?) "8. Gates, Thresholds & Doors Gates, thresholds and doors are all symbolic entrances into new worlds. These entrances can be into a new life or they might represent communication between one world and another world, between the living and the dead. The symbolism between gate and threshold is very similar. The symbolism of a gate, though, suggests more of a protecting and guarding aspect while that of threshold suggests simply a passage from one realm to another realm." "Doors are feminine symbols. In Psychology and Alchemy, Jung noted that doors contain all the implications of the symbolic hole. The significance of the door, therefore, is the antithesis of the wall. In A Dictionary of Symbols, J.E. Cirlot makes an interesting observation about doors in discussing temple doors and altars: " The appearance of gates, thresholds and doors is a commonality to all story genres. Usually the hero passes through them to symbolically mark the beginning of his journey. http://www.symbolism.org/writing/books/sp/3/page3.html https://www.pinterest.com/bobprates/doors-windows/ 29 second experiment for Wk 2.
